Hard to Stay Focused on Form

2.9 Miles, 34 Minutes, 31 Seconds.

Hard to stay focused on the form tonight. Keep dropping my head. Not a good run but better than sitting on the couch.

Rest Day

After two days of running I decided not to push it and did a rest day. May try to go a little longer tomorrow. Sundays used to be my long run day.

No knee pain after the 3 days of running this week.

I am hopeful!

Longest run in over 2 Months

2.04 Miles tonight, 22 Minutes 8 Seconds, flat ground.

Longest run for me since my injury. Felt good, tired but good to sweat again. Hard to concentrate on everything so I tried to focus on a long neck, lean forward from the ankels and land on my midfoot with feet under hips.

We will see how sore I am in the morning and if the knee is ok.

Return to Running

I thought my running days were over! I had not run in over 2 months because of a knee problem. The Doctors said to just rest it. X-Rays said it was fine, showed no damage. Then I went to physical theraphy and they video taped me running. Bottom line it was ULGY!

I land on my heals and the impact goes straight up my leg to my knee and hips, thus the right knee pain.

They recommended to me to run barefoot and I laughed. But what the heck I might as well try it. So I did some research and found CHI Running. This technique helps to prevent heel strike. I have tried it twice, started on 2 Aug 2010 and then again on the 4th of Aug. On the 2nd I also ran bare foot for .8 of a mile. My back and legs were killing me on the third. On the 4th I ran 1.6 mile using the CHI method. So far no knee pain.
